"Defence and Innovation"
DEFENCE in BUSINESS
We are very excited to announce that Sebastien Eckersley-Maslin has accepted out invitation to deliver a presentation on Veterans and Startups for the Defence in Business community, proudly sponsored by WithYouWithMe.
Sebastien is the founder of BlueChilli, Australia's leading startup accelerator with over 100 startups, which is expanding globally. Sebastien, a serial entrepreneur, started his career as a weapons engineer in the Australian Navy. There he learned how Defence Force training equips participants to deal with extreme uncertainty with relatively predictable outcomes. Sebastien believed this same approach could be applied to startups: give founders the tools and knowledge to make highly effective decisions in the face of uncertainty.
Sebastien will share with us his journey from Veteran to successful entrepreneur and prominent innovation leader, including how his Defence training prepared him for life as a startup founder. He will also discuss the trends in the startup community and how Veterans and corporates alike can take advantage of the "innovation boom". Sebastien is one of the most connected and knowledgeable entrepreneurs in Australia right now so don't miss this amazing opportunity.
The Defence in Business Queensland Committee member, Tim Walmsley, will MC and share future event plans, which will be followed by a business card draw, food and networking.
Please join us for this premier business networking event with Defence Industry. Share and invite your colleagues. No Defence background is required, all business people are welcome.
